Middle of Nowhere

Middle of Nowhere

Middle of Nowhere captures the vast, open landscapes north of Plain City, Ohio—a place where the land is strikingly flat, sparsely populated, and endlessly fertile. Once a destination for peaceful drives on sunny days, it was semi-affectionately named by my daughter for its quiet remoteness. These images document the moments when that name feels most fitting—when the sky stretches endlessly, the fields seem to dissolve into the horizon, and a stillness settles over the land. It’s a place that feels both empty and full, a quiet testament to the beauty of solitude and the endless reach of rural Ohio.
